Remember to Spring Forward One Hour
If you have clocks that need adjusting by hand if the power goes out or when daylight saving time rolls around, you’ll need to make a note for March 14. However, manually adjusting for Daylight Saving Time, or power outages either, is not necessary when you have an automatically controlled clock or clock system.

We recently received such a timely call
Our customer Mark Morin of the Wildwood Springs Community Association called to say “I love Lumichron!”. Wildwood Springs of Spring Lake, Michigan, has an entryway tower with a 4-sided tower clock (pictured above with a colorful sunrise). The clock tower was originally installed in 1993 (before our time!). The Association commissioned Lumichron™ to reburbish the clock with new clockworks a few years ago. The original mechanisms had never worked properly, one or another of the clock faces would be out of sync or not operational. And if nothing else, a clock should always tell the correct time!
Power Outage a Test for Clock Controller
Mr. Morin called because high winds in West Michigan had recently caused a power outage in the area. He was curious to see whether the MOBATIME master clock controller Lumichron™ installed would work as it should. The controller has a lithium battery backup to keep track of and reset time automatically. Mark was thrilled to discover, when he drove by the clock tower after electricity had been restored, that all four faces of the clock were EXACTLY on time and in sync! He was happy. And last November, when Daylight Saving Time gave us an extra hour (Fall Back), the clocks adjusted automatically. All four faces are always in sync with each other; the master clock controller sends the same message to all. No need to go to the clock to move the hands or adjust the motors.
