LUMICHRON offers modern and traditional post clocks as well as a custom-designed post clocks, built exactly to your specifications. Our post clocks are perfect for a city center, golf course, courtyard, streetscape, or backyard. Like all of LUMICHRON’s clocks, they are built to our high professional standards, and have durable and accurate fully-automatic time controls with internal back-lit illumination.  Post and Street Clocks can be double-sided or have 4 faces, and are available in a range of heights and head sizes.  They feature bolt-down installation onto a concrete foundation, as with a streetlight, ensuring easy installation and service,  Custom-designed post clocks are another option, built exactly to your specifications. TRADITIONAL POST CLOCKS

Our Traditional Post Clocks are cast aluminum with a powdercoat finish. Customize with your name on the dial or optional header panel, or choose a pocket-watch top. Perfect for college campus or city square.

MODERN POST CLOCKS

Modern Post Clocks are fabricated of powdercoated aluminum to your size specifications, and can be 2- or 4-faced. Your name or logo on the dial adds a nice touch. Add a landmark to your project or space.

CUSTOM POST CLOCKS

Choose a Custom Post Clock, such as the clock we built for Concordia College, above. The four 36-inch diameter faces are mounted to a custom framework. Illumination and GPS time control are standard.

How Our Post & Street Clocks Work

Choose from battery or electric movements and controls, keeping in mind
illuminated clocks do require electricity.   In both cases, a clock controller keeps time in sync on all faces, and automatically corrects for daylight saving time and power interruption. It will also turn illumination on at dusk and off at dawn, according to your location.

We provide a bolt-down template and wiring diagrams, so you can have your site prepared. Full instructions and component manuals are provided with every clock we build. And we offer free phone support always.

All crystals are made of tempered glass, a ball-throw protected version is an available option.

Benefits of Post Clocks

An outdoor post/street clock is a great way to enhance a streetscape or park environment where people congregate and walk. A post clock is really an Outdoor Time Feature Sculpture which adds comfort and importance to a special area. With a header panel and/or a dial, it can easily be customized for naming for such things as memorials, cities, parks, dates, etc. Often it is the highlight of a project.

Standard Post Clock Features

  • Cast/fabricated all-aluminum post and head
  • Finished in Architectural grade powder coating, hammer black, silver, bronze or green (black is the default color)
  • Tempered glass crystals which don’t haze and are very durable
  • Fully automatic clock controls which reset automatically for DST changes and power interruptions
  • Back-lit dial with warm (or cool, depending on the dial style) white LED’s
  • Illumination control by the clock controller, according to your GPS coordinates- on/off dusk/dawn, self-adjusting 
  • Header panels (if applicable) with custom text
  • Customizable dials
  • Modern style head (24”, 30”, 36” or 42”) can be sized with post height
  • Gold or silver pin-striping on the bezels
