This dial and hand selection tool doesn’t work perfectly, or even very well – where’s a good app designer when we need one?!  But you can look at many different designs. Our most popular dial and hand selection?  Roman!  For schools though, Arabic dials (these are numbers such as 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.) are most popular.  Of course – you can always make it super simple and choose a digital clock!

Keep in mind that Roman clock faces look best with, you guessed it, Roman style hands. An Arabic dial (using regular numbers) looks best with a hand that is more plain in style, such as a straight or block style. For best legibility and visibility, we suggest a clock hand is bold enough to stand out with your dial choice.
